Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnering with ROCOL to recruit a BI Developer to join its Leeds-based IT team supporting ITW Fluids Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining hands-on Power BI development with real business engagement. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across sales, operations and finance, helping turn data into meaningful insight that drives better decision-making.

The opportunity

This is not a purely technical, back-office role. You’ll be embedded in the business, working directly with key stakeholders to understand their challenges and deliver reporting solutions that add real value. You’ll play a key role in developing and enhancing the organisation’s Power BI capability, while also helping improve data quality, reporting standards and the overall use of data across the business. For someone who enjoys ownership, variety and visibility, this is a great opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs
  • Translate business questions into clear, actionable reporting and insight
  • Extract, transform and analyse data from ERP and CRM systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across reporting outputs
  • Optimise SQL queries and improve reporting performance
  • Support best practice in data modelling, definitions and reporting standards
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through reporting, automation and better use of data

About you

We’re looking for someone with strong technical BI skills, but equally important is your ability to work with the business and communicate effectively. You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience with Power BI
  • Solid SQL skills
  • Experience with data modelling and data transformation
  • A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • The ability to translate data into meaningful business insight
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across different functions
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as JD Edwards / Oracle), HubSpot or the wider Microsoft Power Platform would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why join ROCOL?

This is an opportunity to join the ITW Fluids Europe division, where data and reporting are becoming increasingly important to future growth. You’ll be joining a collaborative, down-to-earth team in a role that offers genuine variety and ownership. Rather than operating within a large, siloed BI function, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle – from understanding business needs through to delivering insight. There is also scope to get involved in wider initiatives around automation and process improvement as the function continues to evolve.

Package

  • Salary c.£50,000
  • Bonus up to 15%
  • Hybrid working (Leeds-based 3-4 days per week)
  • 35-hour working week
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Great workplace culture and facilities including onsite gym
