Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading UK manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Indirect Buyer on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of IT categories within a complex, multi-site environment, driving commercial value and operational efficiency.
The Role:
As Indirect Buyer, youβll be responsible for managing indirect procurement categories such as Hardware & Software services. Youβll work cross-functionally with stakeholders at various levels to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the business receives best-in-class service and value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading sourcing activities and contract negotiations across indirect IT spend areas
- Developing category strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability targets
- Building and maintaining effective supplier relationships and performance frameworks
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple UK sites to ensure procurement supports operational needs
- Delivering measurable cost savings and driving continuous improvement
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a commercially driven procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions.
You will have:
- Proven experience in IT indirect procurement or IT category management
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A focus on value delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of sustainability or ESG-related procurement practices is desirable
