Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working with a well-established and acquisitive group as they look to appoint an Interim Finance Director for a 6-12 month engagement. The group is in an active period of growth. Having recently completed an acquisition, they need a seasoned Finance Director to lead the integration and build the financial infrastructure for a business with real momentum behind it.
You will be working directly with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, with real influence over how the business is run. The owner is entrepreneurial and driven, and they want someone who will push back as much as they support. If you thrive in environments where your opinion carries weight and decisions get made quickly, this is worth a conversation.
The core of the role is building a proper finance function from the ground up, implementing cost capture and management reporting, producing timely and accurate management accounts, and giving the business the financial visibility it needs to keep growing. You will also be working alongside a permanent Financial Controller hire, so part of the role will be developing that person and handing over responsibilities in a structured way.
Experience in a project-based or contract-driven environment would be a strong advantage, particularly where cost management and long-term contract accounting have been part of the day to day. The role is based in County Durham, paying £600 to £850 per day, with scope to operate outside IR35.
