Elevation Tech & Transformation are working with a well-established construction business based in Driffield, who are looking to bring on board an IT Security Analyst to strengthen their cyber security capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation where you’ll play a key role in protecting critical systems and data, while helping to shape and mature the overall security posture.
As IT Security Analyst, you’ll be responsible for monitoring, detecting and responding to security threats across the business. Working closely with the Infrastructure and Technical Services teams, you’ll help ensure security best practices are embedded across the entire IT estate. You’ll also have the opportunity to influence improvements, recommend new technologies and play a hands-on role in building a more resilient and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of monitoring and developing SIEM activity across the environment, helping to improve detection capability over time.
- Manage and enhance endpoint and threat detection tooling (including EDR, XDR, and MDR platforms) to strengthen overall security posture.
- Lead on the investigation of security alerts and incidents, ensuring appropriate triage, escalation, and resolution.
- Carry out regular vulnerability assessments, track remediation progress, and provide clear reporting on risk exposure.
- Support the configuration of secure systems and ensure infrastructure is aligned with security best practice.
- Play an active role in shaping and maintaining security policies, standards, and operational procedures.
- Help ensure ongoing alignment with key compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Deliver and support security awareness initiatives across the business, including phishing campaigns and user education.
- Keep up to date with the evolving threat landscape and proactively suggest improvements to tools and processes.
- Contribute to the organisation’s wider resilience strategy, including backup, disaster recovery, and data protection measures.
- Demonstrable experience in a cybersecurity or infrastructure-focused security role.
- Practical, hands-on exposure to SIEM platforms and vulnerability management tools.
- Strong understanding of endpoint detection and response technologies (EDR, XDR, MDR).
- Good working knowledge of common cyber threats, attack methods, and core security principles.
- Confident investigating security incidents and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Familiar with key compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Able to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical thinking with a structured, problem-solving approach.
