Are you a technically minded Product Manager who loves turning ideas into fully realised, market-leading products? We’re looking for a proactive, organised and commercially aware individual to join our Product Development function and drive end-to-end product creation.
In this role, you’ll work closely with design, testing, certification, and commercial teams to ensure new products are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. You’ll become the technical backbone of the NPD process, managing prototypes, materials, specifications, costings, and ensuring every product is fit for purpose.
Technical Product Manager Duties & Responsibilities:- Leading product development projects from concept to launch
- Managing critical paths, costings, technical data and development checklists
- Working with designers to ensure samples, prototypes and technical requirements meet the brief
- Sourcing and selecting materials, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing testing/certification needs
- Conducting market and competitor research to keep products ahead of the curve
- Collaborating closely with sales to understand end-user requirements and feeding insights into design
- Visiting suppliers, customers and exhibitions to stay on top of new innovations
- Maintaining and expanding the materials library
- Ensuring products remain continuously improved and market-leading
- Experience in technical product management within a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of product standards, compliance or certification processes
- Excellent problem-solving ability and a hands-on, can-do mindset
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and thrive under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective supplier relationships
- High attention to detail and strong competency across Microsoft Office tools
- A collaborative approach and a passion for delivering high-quality products
