Elevation Recruitment are working with a leading vehicle manufacturer within a regulated engineering environment to recruit a Homologation Engineer. This is a key role responsible for ensuring all products meet relevant UK and European legislation, industry standards, and approval requirements. You will take ownership of homologation activities, support audits, and play a pivotal role in embedding compliance across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance & Homologation
- Lead homologation activities across all product models, ensuring full compliance with:
- Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) and/or Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA)
- EU and UNECE regulations
- Industry codes of practice and approval schemes
- UK Construction & Use Regulations
- Act as the internal subject matter expert on regulatory compliance
- Stay up to date with current and emerging legislation
- Documentation & Certification
- Prepare and manage all technical documentation required for approvals
- Maintain accurate and auditable records including:
- Type approvals
- Test reports
- Certificates of conformity
- Ensure document control aligns with quality systems and audit requirements
- Audit & Compliance
- Support and act as a key contact during external audits and inspections
- Ensure adherence to industry approval schemes, including:
- Product specification compliance
- Build quality and safety standards
- Documentation and traceability
- Support internal and external audits, including:
- Conformity of Production (CoP)
- Third-party regulatory inspections
- Drive audit readiness across the business
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Production teams to embed compliance at every stage
- Provide guidance on resolving compliance issues and non-conformances
- Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
- Identify compliance risks and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business
- Support ongoing improvements in product safety, quality, and compliance

- Products meet all relevant regulatory and industry standards prior to release
- Successful audit outcomes with minimal non-conformances

About You
Essential:
