Procurement Manager – Grantham - £50,000 - £55,000
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established engineering business in Grantham who are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager. It’s a very exciting time to join as the business has recently undergone significant investment and transformation with expansion of product lines, modern fabrication machinery, upgraded facilities and a growing workforce.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering procurement strategies aligned with business goals and cost targets
- Managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring best value on quality, cost and lead times
- Overseeing purchase orders, supplier performance and compliance with standards and regulations
- Collaborating with design, planning, quality and production teams to support new product introductions and meet demand forecasts
- Analysing spend, identifying cost saving opportunities and mitigating supply chain risks
- Producing reports and presenting procurement performance to senior management
The Person
- Experienced in procurement or purchasing within a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and RFQ processes
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership qualities and a focus on continuous improvement
