Elevation Recruitment Group is supporting a leader in aerospace manufacturing to recruit a Furnace Operative. Our client is a state-of-the-art aerospace facility supplying complex fabricated and machined exhaust assemblies to the aerospace industry. It is a leading supplier of civil exhaust systems to the aerospace market.
The role:
You will start working a days-only shift pattern until full training is completed. Once proficient, the role shifts to a 3-shift weekly rotation including days, afternoons, and nights.
Salary: £28,335.29 + 17% shift allowance once shifts start (£33,152.29)
- 185 hours holidays per annum with an option to buy/sell up to 37 hours annually.

Key Responsibilities:
- Vacuum, heat treat, and air furnace components to customer specifications following Routing instructions, Technique Sheets, and SOPs.
- Operate process bay safety clean/degrease lines across all product ranges per instructions and SOPs.
- Set and operate press shop equipment including 150-ton power press and hydraulic/drop head press.
- Interpret Customer Specifications and Technical drawings.
- Ensure all operations meet route card requirements and are logged correctly per NADCAP standards.
- Report non-conforming parts via Hotspot process.
- Own AM checks and ensure calibration checks are completed as scheduled.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the aerospace industry with knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Power press certification.
- Experience with press shop equipment including drop, 150-ton, and hydraulic presses.
- Experience operating aerospace Vac/Air furnaces.
