Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a fast growing technology business in the Sheffield City Centre as they look to bring in a new Financial Controller into the business. They have already expanded in their first 3 years of operation to now have a presence in 5 countries and have also won a contract to supply to the UK government.

The role will be a hands-on FC role, encompassing managing of the financial reporting and analysis, finance business partnering with stakeholders, FP&A activity as well as being prepared to get stuck in with the day to day bookkeeping and managing financial transactions. The role will work closely with the CEO to help plan and manage the financial strategy of the business.

  • Salary up to Β£65,000
  • 25 days holiday + stats

  • Hybrid working (Minimum 3 days a week in the office)
  • 40 Hour working week (8.30am – 5.30pm)

Duties will include:

  • Preparing Management Accounting packs (Including P&L and balance sheet)
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Manage month-end close
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • FP&A activity and financial modelling/ scenario modelling
  • Business Partnering with leadership teams and presenting financial insights to aid business strategy
  • Lead VAT, tax, and HMRC submissions
  • Help guide capital allocation decisions that align with company growth and margin goals
  • Prepare investor-ready reports
  • Support grant funding applications and R&D claims
  • Establish internal controls and ensure financial policy compliance
  • Oversee transactional finance/ bookkeeping (Including payroll, accounts receivable/payable and treasury functions)
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and cost efficiencies

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • At least 3-5 years experience in an all round accounting role
  • Experience in Netsuite or similar cloud-based ERP systems (Essential)
  • Driven and tenacious
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good reporting and analytical skills
