Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a fantastic Manufacturing business based in Sheffield who're on the look out for a hands on Financial Accountant to join their team throughout a period of growth. This is a 12 month contract and the successful candidate must be available to start at short notice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver accurate statutory accounts in line with relevant standards and deadlines
- Manage corporation tax and VAT submissions, ensuring full compliance and efficiency
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and FX exposure
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing insights and analysis
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reporting
- Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and systems
- Collaborate with other departments to support business decisions and ensure financial alignment
Key Skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, UK tax (corporation tax & VAT)
- Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced finance team
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
