Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering business based in Barnsley, as they look to appoint a Finance Manager following an internal promotion.

This is a broad, hands-on role where you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function, leading a small team and working closely with the Financial Controller across financial accounting, management accounting, reporting and financial control.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in ensuring robust financial control and high-quality reporting, while also acting as a trusted business partner across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and developing a finance team of 3
Supporting annual overhead budgets and group reporting submissions
Month-end close, balance sheet reviews and management reporting
Acting as a key contact for external auditors
Supporting statutory accounts preparation (FRS102)
Oversight of leases (FRS102 & IFRS16), tax, VAT and CIS returns
Budgeting, forecasting and cost control with Heads of Department
Driving process improvements, controls and continuous improvement
Supporting M&A, bidding activity and wider business projects

What’s on Offer:

About You

ACA or ACCA qualified
Background within accountancy practice
Strong business partnering capability
Confident working to multiple deadlines with strong IT skills
