Job Description

Elevation Senior Finance are recruiting a dynamic Finance Business Partner to deliver high-quality financial insight and support to senior leaders, enabling continuous improvement, strategic decision-making, and excellent value for public funds.

As Finance Business Partner, you will support a wide variety of capital projects, o working closely with budget holders and project leads to enable effective financial planning, performance monitoring, and delivery of strategic objectives.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and "critical friend" to help shape plans, challenge assumptions, and provide clear financial analysis that drives business improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide comprehensive financial advice and guidance to budget holders, ensuring the effective use of resources and promoting best value

  • Lead on financial planning, forecasting, and the development of business cases to support decision-making

  • Deliver timely, accurate management accounts, costings, and financial models

  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and practices in line with statutory and regulatory requirements

  • Assist in the preparation of annual accounts and statutory reports, ensuring robust documentation and compliance

  • Contribute to the delivery of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy and the annual budgeting process

  • Monitor and report on capital and revenue projects, ensuring consistent accounting and transparency

  • Offer financial expertise on commercial and strategic projects, supporting risk management and innovation

  • Continuously scan the internal and external environment to stay informed of regulatory changes and emerging best practices

  • Support team development and cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency and outcomes

KEY SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fully qualified Accountant or qualified by experience

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strong analytical, modelling, and presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance professionals
