Estimator – Construction Location: Beverley Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent Are you an experienced Estimator with a background or experience in construction or engineering? We’re recruiting for an Estimator to join our client’s rapidly growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic pre-construction team, supporting early cost planning and delivering accurate tenders and quotations. The Role: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for producing competitive and detailed cost estimates from client enquiries and tender documents, ensuring all proposals meet the client\’s requirements and internal standards. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to manage tender returns and prepare contractor proposals. Key Responsibilities: Produce accurate calculations of quantities and pricing Prepare detailed contractor proposals in line with client and internal specifications Read and interpret construction drawings, schedules and data sheets Prepare enquiry packages and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers Analyse costs, risk, and margins, ensuring commercial accuracy Work closely with the pre-construction and sales teams to align bids with client expectations Maintain clear records and electronic data Support development of the supply chain to meet project and sector needs Manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously About You: HNC/HND or Degree in Construction is an advantage but not essential Experience in a similar role within construction, engineering or an associated industry Strong numeracy skills and knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office and Estimating Software Packages Able to work from initial enquiry through to full contract award Exceptional organisational and time management skills Sector-specific experience is welcome, but full training will be provided If you\’re looking to take the next step in your estimating career and join a business that values innovation, teamwork, and client excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
