Electrical Maintenance Manager – Leeds
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturer in Leeds to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Manager. This role offers a competitive salary, the chance to shape a skilled maintenance team and the opportunity to drive real improvements across plant performance.
The Role
As Electrical Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for the planning, delivery and development of all maintenance activities across the site. Working closely with production, you will ensure assets run safely, reliably and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the maintenance team, ensuring skills and succession planning are in place
- Creating, managing and improving the planned maintenance schedule
- Working with the HSE Manager to ensure all safety checks and procedures are met
- Managing departmental budgets and controlling spend on plant, equipment and overtime
- Delivering projects including new installations, upgrades and capital investment
- Reducing downtime and improving asset performance through effective maintenance strategies
The Person
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager who can bring leadership, technical expertise and a proactive mindset. You will have:
- Experience in a similar role within heavy industry
- A completed apprenticeship with hands-on maintenance background
- Preferably a degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and industry standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team effectively
- Solid understanding of HSE legislation and best practice
- Organisational skills to prioritise workload and deliver improvement initiatives
