Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an EC&I Technician, to join a leading manufacturer of building products.

This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice trained or degree level EC&I Technician, to join and support primarily in instrumentation of equipment but also across electrical and controls (no PLC programming experience required).

As the EC&I Technician you will:

  • To support and maintain all site LV infrastructure
  • To support engineering capital and revenue projects (particularly electrical and automation) in all areas of manufacturing plant, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and in budget
  • Improve efficiency and electrical /mechanical safety across all sites
  • To support for site infrastructure maintenance and development plans (planned and unplanned improvement works)
  • To provide technical support and specification (including troubleshooting) for automation/PLC related projects
  • To maintain and advance kiln, dyer, and calcine process instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, humidity and other monitoring devices
  • To support how process instruments can provide better data and data monitoring to make processes more efficient and energy saving using SCADA systems
  • To strategically support and maintain process data systems, including SCADA systems and digital recorders
  • To develop and maintain an instrumentation maintenance plan in line with the sites maintenance management system
  • To offer strategic H&S, engineering/maintenance support where required
  • To always ensure full Electrical compliance in all work completed
  • To provide technical support to ensure efficiency in process
  • Sufficient competency and experience to fulfil their requirements as identified in the ‘Management of Engineering Asset Integrity Policy Document’
  • Functional Safety awareness and annual proof testing
  • To take part in training programmes relevant to the role
  • To be considered for the EC&I Technician role you will need:

  • Level 4 apprenticeship in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years apprentice trained (or equivalent) to EITB in Electrical Engineering
  • National Certificate in Electrical Engineering
  • Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • 18th Edition BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (training provided)
