Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a market-leading manufacturing business to help them recruit a CAD Technician to join their site in Sheffield. Our client designs and manufactures specialist safety equipment for customers worldwide.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, the Draftsperson will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and CAD models with a focus on fabrication and sheet-metal. This role will provide opportunity for training, progression and development.
Responsibilities of the CAD Technician will include:
- Produce engineering drawings in SolidWorks and 2D AutoCAD
- Support the creation of BOMs
- Create/check and amend drawings/specifications
- Complete technical checks before going to Production
- Help Design Engineers create new product drawings
- Help tech support and training teams deliver technical information
- Contribute to developing technical drawing and design resources for customers
- Support improvements to the quality of technical design resources in customer communications

- Qualified in an Engineering field
- Apprenticeship trained
- Engineering Experience with sheet-metal and fabrication
