Elevation is working with a highly respected professional services organisation to recruit a Commercial Accountant for a 12-month fixed‑term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a large, high-performing finance function in a commercially focused role with exposure to senior stakeholders.
Supporting a key business group, you’ll work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager to provide insightful analysis, influence decision-making, and support financial planning and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand and improve financial performance
- Lead on key aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
- Support pricing and tendering activity, including client profitability reviews
- Monitor and analyse financial KPIs including utilisation, billing, and working capital
- Deliver regular insight through commentary, reporting, and data analysis
- Contribute to ongoing projects and continuous improvement across the finance function
This is a varied role that combines monthly reporting with strategic project work. You’ll have the chance to work across finance, commercial teams, and operational leadership—adding value in both day-to-day decisions and longer-term planning.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven commercial awareness with experience in a business partnering environment
- Ability to work across multiple priorities—balancing reporting, analysis, and project delivery
- Advanced Excel skills essential; Power BI experience is a bonus
