Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled shop floor team are currently looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a progressive Sheffield-based manufacturer, supplying forged rings to aerospace and power generation industries.
Working Hours: alternating weekly shifts
Mornings: Monday- Thursday: 05:00 – 12:30 Friday: 05:00– 12:00
Afters – Monday- Thursday 12:00– 19:00 Friday: 11:30 – 18:30
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating multiple CNC machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Setting cutting speeds and tolerance levels
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning and facing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes and adjusting and reprogramming controls
- Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Knowledge of conventional machining
Skills and Experience
- CNC Machining qualification or time served experience
- Experience in machining steels, nickels, and titanium
- The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team
