Category Manager – Southport/Hybrid – Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading supply chain partner to recruit a Category Manager for a major client in Southport.

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies across a defined portfolio of suppliers. You will play a vital role in securing best value, strengthening supplier relationships and driving operational improvements.

  • Leading strategic sourcing and implementing category strategies
  • Negotiating and managing long term contracts and framework agreements
  • Driving supplier performance and development initiatives
  • Analysing data to inform strategy, decision making and stakeholder engagement
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial goals
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain

Person

  • CIPS Qualified or working towards
  • Previous experience within a technical industrial role (Manufacturing, Engineering, Marine, Rail, Aerospace etc)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing ability
  • High resilience and the ability to work to demanding deadlines
  • Desirable: knowledge of SAP
