Field Based / Home Based - South & South West England
Are you a technically strong, commercially driven sales person who wants to make a real impact? This is a field-based role with autonomy, ownership and genuine influence over your region. You will take full ownership of a defined territory covering areas across the South and South West including Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset, with strong internal backing across commercial support, engineering and operations.
On target earnings for commission up to £50,000 which is very achievable. Company car and fuel card. Enhanced pension. Life assurance.
Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:
- Drive new sales, grow volume, revenue and margin across your patch.
- Re-contract existing accounts at time of renewal.
- Prospect for new opportunities and attend industry events.
- Monitor competitor activity and market movement.
- Deliver against agreed KPIs including volume, margin, profit and lead conversion.
- Engage with engineers, facilities managers, operational leaders and senior decision-makers, understanding their fuel usage, infrastructure and operational requirements before positioning LPG as a viable and commercially compelling alternative.
- Work with customers to understand their requirements and what is technically viable for their site.
Requirements of a Business Development Manager:
- Strong technical mindset or engineering understanding.
- Background in fuels, energy systems, waste, plumbing, construction, asphalt or industrial sectors advantageous.
- Confident discussing system requirements and technical specifications.
- Highly organised and commercially aware.
- Competitive, driven and motivated to be a top performer.
- A confident communicator and relationship builder.
- You must be comfortable working autonomously in a field-based environment and driven by results.
