Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business based in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, who are looking to recruit a Machine Operator to join their production team. This role offers an opportunity to work within a structured, safety-focused manufacturing environment, operating specialist machinery to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Select appropriate film, materials, and consumables in line with job specifications
- Set up and operate slitting machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process, ensuring standards are met
- Unload, record, and package finished products in accordance with internal and customer requirements
- Accurately complete production and time-tracking documentation using the Mills system
- Monitor machinery during operation and carry out basic fault-finding where required
- Report maintenance issues promptly to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns
- Rework non-conforming products where necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the machine and surrounding work area
- Manage waste appropriately, including emptying bins and maintaining external skips
- Update Daily Management boards as required
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience operating slitting and/or conversion machinery
- Strong understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Clear communication skills
