You will take ownership of the strategic sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure competitive cost and value.
- Procure materials in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality or delivery issues.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new and alternative sources for products.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance expectations related to cost, quality, delivery, and service are met.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes by coordinating supplier readiness and material transitions.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Analyse demand signals, forecasts, and MRP outputs to proactively manage material availability.
- Maintain awareness of purchasing policies, regulatory requirements, trade considerations, and market conditions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Purchasing experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, outsourced manufacturing, global sourcing, supplier management, and commodity categories.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
- Experience supporting and implementing change management initiatives.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers.
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
