Our Leeds-based engineering client is expanding and seeking a proactive, commercially minded Sales Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical administration experience who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers, and working closely with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer enquiries, orders, and communications from start to finish
- Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) accurately
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to support quotations and order processing
- Work closely with sales, engineering, planning, and production teams
- Prepare detailed quotations and ensure all commercial information is accurate
- Provide exceptional customer service to both new and existing clients
- Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas to enhance processes
- Handle general sales administration, documentation, and project coordination
About You:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical sales, sales admin, or customer service role
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical environment
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong understanding of BOMs and commercial documentation
- Excellent communication skills – confident dealing with customers and internal teams
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Strong IT skills, including ERP/CRM systems
