Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively supporting a highly regulated manufacturer to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join their growing team at their facility in West Yorkshire. This role is ideal for a strong people leader from a manufacturing background who enjoys developing teams, driving performance, and creating a positive, accountable shop floor culture. You’ll be responsible for leading a skilled production team within a fast-paced manufacturing operation, ensuring quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement standards are consistently achieved.
As Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of daily manufacturing operations, supporting and motivating your team to deliver high-quality products within a regulated environment. You’ll play a key role in coaching individuals, improving team performance, and driving operational excellence across the department.
Key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Team Leader include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a manufacturing team
- Conducting regular 1-1s, return-to-work meetings, and performance management activities
- Creating a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture
- Coordinating daily production activities to meet manufacturing schedules and business targets
- Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing improvement plans
- Working cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Production teams
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, quality, and health & safety standards
- Supporting production planning, inventory accuracy, and operational reporting
- Leading by example with a hands-on approach on the manufacturing floor
We’re particularly interested in candidates with proven manufacturing people leadership experience who can build strong teams and drive performance in a production environment, with the following skills & experience:
- Previous experience leading teams within highly regulated manufacturing, ideally within food, chemical or clean room environments
- Strong people management, coaching, and communication skills
- Experience driving performance, accountability, and engagement on the shop floor
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to support and motivate teams
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles
- The ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced operational setting
