Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a highly successful global manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team on a fixed term contract for 12-18 months. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with technical products, values accuracy and wants to play an important part in keeping service operations running smoothly.

The Role
As Buyer Spares you will take responsibility for sourcing, purchasing and managing spare parts that support service, maintenance and warranty activities. Key duties include:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including negotiating with suppliers, placing purchase orders, and ensuring delivery commitments are met and communicated to project and engineering teams.
- Source and procure spare/service parts for mechanical, electrical and control systems, ensuring timely availability to support service operations, warranty work and customer orders.
- Maintain accurate supplier, material, pricing, and lead-time data in ERP systems generating and analysing procurement, supplier performance and inventory reports.
- Develop, assess, and manage suppliers, reviewing performance, negotiating contracts, supporting development initiatives and upholding ethical business practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Service, Engineering, Planning, Sales, and technical teams to forecast demand, review supplier quotes and align commercial terms and conditions.
- Optimise inventory performance by balancing availability and cost, expediting urgent requirements and managing slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock to minimise waste.
The person
- Experience in technical sourcing, ideally working with engineering drawings or BOMs.
- Strong supplier negotiation skills and confidence managing relationships.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- At least two years procurement experience, ideally within spares or aftermarket environments.
