Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working exclusively with a fast-growing and successful PE Backed business based in the Sheffield City Centre. The business operates a hybrid working model, with home working available up to 3 days a week. The business was established in 2017 and has grown from strength to strength since, and is poised for further growth due to it's strong position in the market and ongoing investment. This is a truly exciting time to join this business.The company offers the following benefits package along with flexible working arrangements.·    Salary: Up to £70,000 (Dependent on Experience)·    25 Days Holiday + Stats·    Auto Enrolment Pension·    Hybrid working (2 days a week in the office, generally Tues and Wed) Hours: 37.5 hours per week – flexible start/finish times availableThis role will be an autonomous managerial role, tasked with overseeing the billing and revenue recognition process. It will be a highly varied role to include the following duties: – Â
- Lead and develop a small team, providing training, mentoring, and conducting regular review of work
- Oversee day-to-day billing operations within the department
- Reconcile revenue streams and support month-end close processes
- Ensure invoices are correct, compliant, and issued on schedule
- Manage contract renewals and adapt processes to suit varied customer needs
- Monitor aged debt and support credit control activities where needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit requirements
- Act as the main point of contact across teams, ensuring clear communication and smooth workflows
- Produce accurate reporting and analysis to support financial decision-making
- Business partnering with commercial teams
- Drive efficiency by identifying improvements and introducing automation
The ideal candidate will ideally have the following skills and experiences: –Â
- Strong track record in leading within a billing, invoicing, or credit control department
- Proven experience managing and developing a team
- Experience with revenue reconciliation and supporting finance processes
- Ideally experience with Certinia and excellent excel skills
- Strong understanding of a subscription-based billing model (Highly desirable)
- Good analytical skills
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills in time-pressured environments
- Confident communicator, able to work with a range of stakeholders
- Comfortable balancing business-as-usual processes with continuous improvement
