About the Role
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a detail-oriented Compliance and Logistics Coordinator. Based in Brighouse, this role ensures all import and export operations are executed efficiently and in full compliance with HMRC, UK Export Control, and international trade regulations. You will maintain accurate documentation, manage export licences, and support the smooth movement of goods while safeguarding the business against compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners
- Prepare and review export and import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations
- Manage warranty and repair returns in line with compliance procedures
- Submit and track export licence applications and maintain auditable records
- Ensure correct product classification, shipping terms, valuation, and country of origin
- Monitor controlled goods and ensure adherence to trade regulations
- Support process improvements and track shipping performance and costs
- Provide backup support to the Compliance Manager
Skills & Experience
- Experience in logistics, customs, or international trade with a focus on compliance
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Clear communicator, able to work with internal teams and international partners
- Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and export licensing systems (SPIRE/LITE)
- Competent in using business systems for shipment tracking and audit records
