Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a business in the Barnsley area as they look to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager into their team on a full time, permanent basis., * Oversee daily operations of the transactional finance team, ensuring each team member understands their responsibilities and meets key performance targets

Supervise the accuracy and reliability of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and payroll data across all financial systems

Serve as the main point of contact between the finance team and other departments, fostering strong communication and collaborative relationships

Regularly evaluate finance systems and workflows, recommending and implementing improvements to boost efficiency and data accuracy

Ensure smooth operation of IT systems within the finance team, promptly addressing any technical issues

Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including key metrics and account reconciliations, for review by senior leadership

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for sales, cost, and payroll management, maintaining accurate records and controls

Previous proven experience within a finance team, with strong proficiency in Sage
