Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be supporting a global manufacturing leader in their search for a Production Shift Supervisor to join their manufacturing operation in Halifax. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll play a key role on shift keeping people, processes and product flowing while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and performance.

Working closely with the Shift Manager, you’ll lead from the front, support your team, and step in to resolve issues quickly to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities of the Production Shift Supervisor include:

  • Acting as the on-shift lead, supporting daily production performance
  • Identifying and resolving quality and production issues in real-time
  • Ensuring all workstations are correctly set up with relevant SOPs displayed
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, ensuring all products meet specification
  • Coordinating the movement of finished goods to the correct locations
  • Driving 5S standards and maintaining excellent housekeeping at all times
  • Completing line checks, documentation and ensuring smooth shift handovers
  • Monitoring waste, changeovers and operational efficiency

We're looking for Production Shift Supervisors with the below skills & experience:

  • Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of production standards and how to achieve them
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of workplace policies, procedures and compliance
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
