Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading, well-established manufacturing business based in Wakefield as they look to appoint an experienced HSE Manager to join their leadership team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Training strategy across multiple UK manufacturing and project sites. The successful candidate will play a key part in developing a proactive safety culture and driving continuous improvement in standards, systems, and engagement.
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust HSE strategy aligned to business and operational goals.
- Drive cultural change initiatives that embed health, safety, and environmental excellence throughout all operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant UK legislation including CDM, PUWER, LOLER, and RIDDOR.
- Manage internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations to ensure high performance and continual improvement.
- Oversee ISO-certified management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001), ensuring ongoing compliance and alignment with business processes.
- Deliver engaging training and awareness programmes that strengthen ownership and accountability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external bodies including the HSE, environmental agencies, and certification auditors.
- Provide clear reporting on HSE performance, risk, and compliance to senior leadership.
