The Role
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our manufacturing operation in Ansty Park, Coventry. You will be responsible for leading a production team, ensuring daily targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong leadership skills and a good understanding of production machinery and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage a production team.
- Ensure daily production targets and schedules are achieved.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Deal with day-to-day production and team issues.
- Support machine operation, including start-up, shutdown and basic troubleshooting.
- Manage performance and conduct conversations where required.
- Work with management on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Open and close the site when required.
- Promote a positive, reliable and accountable team culture.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Previous Team Leader, Supervisor or Management experience in manufacturing or production.
- Good mechanical and technical understanding.
- Experience working with production machinery.
- Experience managing a team and working to production targets.
- Good understanding of manufacturing health & safety.
- Strong communication and people-management skills.
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team.
Desirable:
- Counterbalance or Combi Forklift Licence.
- Knowledge of biomass systems/processes would also be an advantage.
