Van Driver - Rugby

Location: Rugby Hours: 45 hours per week Pay Rate: £13.33 per hour Start Times: Between 4:30am and 7:00am

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to join a well-established business based in Rugby on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, delivering excellent customer service, and working as part of a supportive team.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

In addition to making deliveries, you'll assist with product installations and occasional specialist delivery work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a physically active and diverse role.

Please note: Due to insurance restrictions, applicants must be 25 years of age or older.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company van while complying with all road traffic regulations.
  • Load, unload and deliver goods to customers efficiently and professionally.
  • Plan and follow the most effective delivery routes to meet delivery schedules.
  • Communicate with the transport office and customers regarding deliveries and any delays.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain accurate delivery records.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Install and assemble customer products on-site when required.
  • Complete deliveries within London and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with house and furniture removals when required.
  • Support the delivery of glass panels using the appropriate lifting equipment and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver or in a similar driving role.
  • A full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Experience driving commercial vehicles would be an advantage.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Friendly and professional communication skills with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team when required.
