Main Accountabilities
Carry out product audit verification against Engineering Drawings and Specifications.
Operate the Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (ITP - CMM). Training provided.
Operate the Measuring Arm including laser scanning (Hexagon
Romer Arm). Training provided.
Control of measuring and test equipment requiring calibration.
Understand and support approval of supplier PPAP document submissions.
Support of manufacturing control documentation for internal processes.
Carry out paint inspection (visual, and basic tests accordingly).
Understand Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Understand and comply with current IATF 16949 quality system requirements.
Support Purchasing, Manufacturing & Engineering within house projects and processes.
Understand IT software -Excel, Word, Minitab. Calibrate Gauge Manager, Axel software, QAD desirable, but not essential as training be provided.
Understand and assist customer complaint investigations using 8D methodology.
Support Continuous Improvement Activities.
Ability to work on its own or within the team.
Carry out Product Audits.
Carry out reasonable additional responsibilities as requested by the Company.
Qualifications and
Experience: Proven experience of CMM machine operation using probing and laser scanning.
Experienced in the use of conventional measuring equipment.
Previous experience of working within a quality environment, ideally within the automotive industry.
Strong written, verbal, and people skills.
Attention to details.
Understand Technical Drawings.
Problem solving and decision-making ability.
