Job Description
Friday: 7:00am 1:00pm We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality timber doors and are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our production team.
Working in our modern manufacturing facility, you will operate a specialist CNC machining centre used to machine timber door frames.

The Role As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our CNC machining centre, ensuring timber door frames are produced accurately and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include: Setting up and operating the CNC machine.
Using the machine's control software to select, adjust and run machining programmes.
Making parameter adjustments where required to ensure quality and accuracy.
Understanding and working with the machine's X, Y and Z axis configuration.
Carrying out routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
Performing quality inspections on finished components.
Working safely while maintaining production targets and quality standards.
Keeping the machine and work area clean and organised.
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who has previous experience operating CNC machinery and is confident working beyond basic start/stop functions.
Ideally, you will have: Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using CNC control software and adjusting machining programmes.
A basic understanding of CNC programming principles and machine coordinates (X, Y and Z axes).
The ability to carry out manual machine adjustments and access internal machine components when required.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience within the timber or woodworking industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
Training Successful candidates will complete a minimum six-week structured training programme to learn the specific operation, setup and maintenance requirements of our CNC machinery.
