The Role: We are opening a new Provision in Lincoln following successfully opening provisions across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Uttoxeter. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business and really put your stamp on a new service. As a Therapeutic Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support through both direct care and preventative approaches. You will:
- Support the management team in the effective day-to-day running of services
- Participate in the on-call rota, responding to requests for advice, guidance, and support
- Travel between properties during shifts to carry out spot checks and ensure service quality
- Monitor and ensure services are operating safely, effectively, and in line with expected standards
- Oversee shift coordination, ensuring staff duties and responsibilities are clearly allocated
- Maintain high standards of shift leadership, organisation, and delivery of care
- Proactively manage staffing gaps by providing cover or arranging additional support
- Provide day-to-day guidance, leadership, and support to staff on shift
- Support relief and agency staff to integrate effectively into the service
- Promote best practice and ensure consistency in care delivery
- Support staff development through coaching, guidance, and informal supervision
- Provide advice on care planning, safeguarding, and effective home management
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and values-led practice
Working Hours: Typical shifts: 08:00 – 16:00. Every other weekend off. Shifts are non-rotational, but flexibility is essential to meet service needs.
About You: We are looking for individuals who not only have the right experience but also demonstrate the right values and approach. You will:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable adults, including recognising and responding to abuse
- Support service users in a safe, trauma-informed way, ensuring their wellbeing and dignity are always prioritised
- Confidently manage complex behaviours, using a range of appropriate and effective behavioural support strategies
- Apply consistent, calm, and professional approaches when responding to challenging situations
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of individual development needs, ensuring holistic support is delivered
- Promote and meet service users’ physical, emotional, and primary care needs through a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Contribute to the creation of a positive, person-centred culture within the service
- Act as a positive role model for staff, demonstrating professionalism and values-led practice
- Support and mentor new and existing team members in their development
- Carry out appraisals and regular supervisions, supporting performance, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
Experience Required: Mental Health Support – 2 years (required), Support Environment – 2 years (required), Learning Disabilities – 1 year (required), Autism (ASD) – 1 year (required).
