Quality Checker (CDD/AML/KYC)

About the Role
Our customer, a leading national law firm is seeking a Quality Checker to join its Client Onboarding Team. This role plays a key part in ensuring client due diligence (CDD), AML, and conflicts processes meet legal and regulatory standards. You will lead a small team of Coaches, overseeing quality assurance, technical training, and competency accreditation across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Coaches delivering quality checks, training, and accreditation.
- Design and maintain a quality and competency framework for client onboarding.
- Review CDD/AML and conflict files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide detailed reports, highlight risks, and recommend process improvements.
- Deliver technical training, induction programmes, and ongoing skills development.
- Stay up to date with regulatory and policy changes, embedding these into training and processes.
About You
- Strong expertise in client due diligence, AML, and conflicts.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements for both domestic and international clients.
- Experience in quality assurance, technical training, and policy compliance.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Experience working autonomously and delivering training.
- Knowledge of AML software (e.g., Smart Search, World Check).
- Training qualifications or experience in learning methodologies.
