Role Overview
The Real Estate Lawyer will support global workplace and construction projects across the EMEA region. This role is working closely with business teams on large-scale commercial property and data centre developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main legal point of contact for real estate and construction matters across EMEA.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts including leases, acquisitions, and development agreements.
- Provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice on real estate transactions and associated construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate external counsel, ensuring cost-effective and efficient engagement.
- Support business teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional projects with minimal supervision.
Key Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate in the UK, Ireland, or an EU jurisdiction.
- Minimum 8 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial real estate, ideally including leasing, acquisition, and development.
- Strong background in handling complex, cross-border real estate matters.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and drafting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with AI or data tools (Power BI, SharePoint) is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- At least 3 years with a top law firm and 5+ years in-house (preferably with multinational exposure).
- Experience supporting large-scale data centre or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
