Elevate is recruiting an Analyst to provide legal operations e-billing support for our Customer. In this role, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, applying analytical and technical skills to ensure accurate standardization and compliance, and responding promptly to queries from a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to delivering a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment.
Specifically, the Analyst will:
- Perform legal invoice review compliance activities where needed;
- Produce legal spend reports for client, which may require data transformation/manipulation;
- Serve as an administrator and day-to-day support resource for the e-billing system;
- Support electronic invoice submission, review, processing, and troubleshooting;
- Assist with matter creation, maintenance, updates, and related billing administration;
- Manage and maintain billing rates and rate-related information within applicable systems;
- Monitor and manage billing-related inboxes, responding to questions and escalating or routing issues as appropriate;
- Partner with law firms, internal legal teams, Accounts Payable, and other stakeholders to resolve invoice and billing discrepancies;
- Support processes and workflows between e-billing and AP systems;
- Troubleshoot system and user issues and help ensure billing processes operate efficiently;
- Maintain accurate matter, vendor, invoice, and billing data;
- Assist with reporting and other legal billing or operational requests as needed;
- Support accruals and budgeting activities related to matters/legal spend;
- Vendor onboarding activities support in collaboration with procurement/AP teams;
- Use your analytical skills to identify strategic improvement opportunities;
- Extend a customer's organization to provide e-billing subject matter expertise.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in legal department operations support;
- Served as an e-billing administrator for 1 or more systems in prior roles;
- Experience supporting large scale legal departments (40+ stakeholders);
- Have developed and used metrics and analytics as part of your prior roles.
Skills for success:
- Proven ability to work in a client-centric, deadline driven environment.
- Be capable of working on multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative to solve problems/opportunities.
Technical skills:
- Experienced and Proficient with Microsoft Products like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint;
- Ability to learn new Legal Tech (e.g. AP, Contract management systems, e-signature tools, e-billing, reporting automation tools like PowerBI/Tableau, using or developing AI tools).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors, Master's degree (business, finance, operations), paralegal or relevant work experience in legal operations.
