An opportunity for an experienced Regulatory & Litigation Counsel to join a high-profile technology organisation on a fixed-term basis. The role sits within the EMEA Regulatory Affairs Defence team and will focus on managing business-critical regulatory investigations and litigation during a period of increased workload and team absence. This is a handsâon role requiring direct engagement with the business and senior stakeholders, suited to an upper mid-level to senior lawyer with strong regulatory defence experience.
Contract Duration: 6-7 months
Contract Type: Fixed-term / Temporary (leave coverage)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage regulatory investigations and litigation relating to online content, consumer protection, children's safety, and artificial intelligence.
- Advise on and defend matters under key regulatory frameworks, including:
- UK Online Safety Act
- EU Digital Services Act (DSA)
- EU AI Act
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister licensed to practise in the UK or Ireland.
- Strong background in litigation and regulatory defence, ideally within the technology, digital, or regulated sectors.
- Experience handling complex, businessâcritical regulatory investigations.
- Familiarity with online safety, consumer protection, platform regulation, or AIârelated legislation.
- Comfortable operating in a fastâpaced, highâstakes environment with direct business interaction.
- Able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with crossâfunctional teams.
