Our customer, a leading law firm is looking for a Planning Lawyer for a 6 month contract role.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrates experience advising on complex development schemes, including large-scale and mixed-use projects across a range of asset classes.
- Advises confidently on core planning law concepts, including community infrastructure levy, heritage and listed building matters, and compulsory purchase-related issues.
- Possesses a solid understanding of how planning considerations interact with broader real estate workstreams, providing planning input where required, including analysis of planning histories and support on transactional documentation.
- Has led negotiations on a range of section 106 agreements, including those involving affordable housing obligations, with a clear understanding of wider planning obligations.
- Experienced in advising on and negotiating additional development-related agreements, including those connected with highways and drainage infrastructure.
- Provides advice on highways law, including matters involving stopping up and related procedures.
- Manages matters proactively, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and consistently high-quality standards.
- Has exposure to public inquiries and/or hearings.
- Experience advising on development consent orders and major infrastructure projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
