We are seeking a UK-qualified Commercial Lawyer with 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience to join a well-established in-house legal team on an initial six-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer with strong commercial contracts experience and a solid understanding of procurement agreements.
You will provide legal support to the business on a broad range of commercial matters, with a particular focus on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating procurement and supplier contracts. Working closely with procurement, finance, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure that contracts are commercially sound and aligned with internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, with a particular emphasis on:
- Procurement and supplier agreements
- Master services agreements (MSAs)
- Statements of work (SOWs)
- Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- Terms and conditions
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risks and key legal issues.
- Support procurement teams in negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
- Assist with contract management and template updates.
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
- Liaise with external counsel where required.
Candidate Profile
- UK-qualified Solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE.
- Experience gained in private practice and/or in-house.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Proven experience with procurement and supplier agreements.
- Commercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Prior in-house experience.
