We are looking for an experienced Commercial or Construction Solicitor to provide legal support across a range of strategically important construction, infrastructure and commercial projects.
Location: Farringdon – 2 days per week
Duration: 5-month FTC
Key Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate in the UK .
- Around 5 years PQE , although candidates with relevant experience outside this range will be considered.
- Strong experience in construction and/or commercial contracts .
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial and construction agreements .
- NEC/NEC4 experience highly desirable.
- Experience with IT contracts, professional services, supply and service agreements is advantageous.
- Experience in utilities, infrastructure, energy or public procurement is desirable.
- Ability to advise on contract interpretation and disputes .
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice .
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence advising senior managers and directors .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
- In-house experience is preferred but not essential .
