Our customer, a global law firm is seeking an experienced FS Legal Project Manager to join their team on a 4-5 month contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global law firm and lead high-impact legal projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This full-time position will be based in the Birmingham office, with the flexibility of 2 days remote working. The role focuses on leading and managing large-scale Financial Services regulatory matters for a single client, overseeing multiple workstreams, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of complex legal projects. As the FS Legal Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of fee earners and contractors, driving key project deliverables, and ensuring the successful execution of high-value contracts and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the legal or financial services sector, with experience in managing teams and delivering large-scale legal projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and Manage FS Regulatory Matters: Take ownership of a financial services regulatory matter for a single client, managing 5 active workstreams and ensuring smooth progress across all areas. Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure tasks are completed within budget and deadlines. Allocate work across the team and ensure all outputs meet quality standards. Team Leadership: Supervise a team of legal professionals, including fee earners, junior staff, and contractors (up to 20 people), providing guidance, answering queries, and ensuring tasks are completed on time. Quality Control: Perform quality checks on all work outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness before moving to the next phase of the project. Client Communication: Provide daily updates to management and communicate project status to the client, ensuring alignment on objectives and timelines. Documentation Oversight: Ensure that all documentation is complete, clear, and properly filed before advancing to subsequent stages of the project. Contractor Management: Effectively manage contractors across the project, ensuring their work aligns with overall project goals and timelines.
