Our customer, a global law firm is looking for a Privacy Specialist for a six-month secondment to support a leading client with a broad range of data protection and privacy compliance activities. The role will involve operational privacy support, vendor assessments, risk management, and contribution to ongoing privacy projects.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the DPIA backlog, including reviewing outstanding DPIAs, coordinating follow-ups, engaging with business stakeholders via calls, and finalising documentation for DPO sign-off.
- Support vendor onboarding by making initial determinations of controller/processor status based on vendor intake forms submitted through the procurement system.
- Conduct and approve vendor privacy risk assessments, including triggering assessments, gathering required information, and liaising with business teams.
- Record identified risks in the organisation’s central risk register (RiskSmart/Kraken).
- Provide timely responses to ad hoc privacy queries raised by business stakeholders through the Privacy team’s communication channels.
- Contribute to project-based work, which may include initiatives such as improving existing data breach handling processes.
