Know Your Employment Law Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on both German employment law and broader European frameworks. Be ready to discuss recent developments, like the EU Platform Workers Directive, and how they might impact the role. This shows you're not just knowledgeable but also proactive about staying updated.

Prepare Real-World Examples

Think of specific cases where you've successfully navigated complex employment law issues or provided strategic advice. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers. This will help you demonstrate your experience in a clear and compelling way.

Showcase Your Communication Skills

Since the role involves delivering legal guidance to non-legal stakeholders, practice explaining complex legal concepts in simple terms. You might even want to prepare a few examples of how you've done this in the past, as it will highlight your ability to bridge the gap between law and business.

Engage with the Company’s Values

Familiarise yourself with the company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Be prepared to discuss how these values resonate with you and how you can contribute to fostering an inclusive culture. This will show that you align with their vision and are genuinely interested in being part of their team.
