Our customer, a medical device manufacturing company is seeking a qualified lawyer to act as interim in-house counsel supporting the EMEA Legal Team during a maternity leave period. The counsel will collaborate closely with legal and cross-functional teams across EMEA and globally.
Estimated Duration: 6-7 months
Estimated Time Commitment: 40–60 hours per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on EMEA marketing law compliance, commercial transactions, and strategic initiatives.
- Advise on commercial, regulatory, and reimbursement matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including:
- Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
- Project Assignment Agreements
- Service Agreements (or third-party templates)
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), including modifications to standard templates or third-party templates
- Sponsorship Agreements (or third-party templates)
- Lease Agreements
- Distribution and Wholesale Agreements
- Agreements with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs), and Patient Organizations
- Understand and apply legal frameworks, regulations, and cultural considerations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Law degree with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Deep expertise in healthcare compliance and advertising laws across EMEA.
- Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Experience using contract lifecycle management platforms, particularly Ironclad.
