We’re hiring an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well-established engineering business that values robust infrastructure and reliable support. This role is ideal for someone confident working across both office and production environments and eager to play a key role in a growing IT function.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line IT support across production, office, and remote users
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
- Maintain and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Support virtualised environments using VMWare and Hyper-V
- Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and routers
- Assist with patching, upgrades, and general infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate documentation for all technical procedures and changes
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure minimal downtime and high system performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in a 2nd line IT support role
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server and virtualisation platforms
- Hands-on experience with network devices (firewalls, switches, routers)
- Confident managing Active Directory environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to issue resolution
