We’re working with a well-established, privately owned manufacturing business with a long trading history, multiple sites and strong financial backing. The company is entering an exciting phase of growth and investment, making this a great time to join. This is a hands-on Financial Accountant role supporting the Finance Director and playing a key part in delivering accurate, timely financial information across the business. The role will suit someone who enjoys working at pace, handling high volumes of data and taking ownership of core financial processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Ownership of month-end processes across the business and its subsidiaries
  • Full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation and posting of journals including accruals and prepayments
  • Fixed asset accounting and associated postings
  • Bank and invoice finance reconciliations
  • Support with sales ledger invoicing processes
  • Management of customer and supplier rebate accruals, reporting and analysis
  • VAT return preparation
  • Delivery of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements including ESG and statistical reporting
  • Supporting improvements in financial controls, processes and governance
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the finance function
