We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle care.
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently for the transportation of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items on the flatbed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a focus on commercial driving.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and safety protocols.
