The Opportunity
Elevate Recruitment is proud to partner with one of the UK's most prestigious fine food importers and distributors. This is a business that supplies the "best of the best" - Michelin-starred chefs, luxury hotels, and high-end retailers. They are currently seeking a high-caliber Transport Manager to lead their logistics operation. This is a confidential search for a professional who can balance the rigor of transport compliance with the finesse required for luxury service delivery.
The Role
- Fleet Leadership: Management of a dedicated multi-drop driver team and a fleet of specialized (temperature-controlled) vehicles.
- Regulatory Compliance: Acting as the primary point of contact for O-Licence requirements, ensuring 100% compliance with VOSA, tachograph regulations, and health and safety.
- Service Excellence: Maintaining a "white-glove" delivery standard where driver appearance and customer interaction are as important as the delivery itself.
- Efficiency & Data: Utilizing telematics and TMS to optimize routes, reduce carbon footprint, and manage operational budgets.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for a leader, not just a manager. You will need:
- CPC Qualification: A valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (National or International) is essential.
- Industry Background: Experience in food logistics (ideally temperature-controlled or high-value FMCG) is highly preferred.
- Communication: The ability to liaise effectively between the warehouse floor and the executive suite.
- Resilience: The premium food world moves fast; you'll need to thrive in a high-pressure, morning-heavy environment.
